The Equal Opportunity Trust is dedicated to breaking down barriers to financial education in Ghana and, ultimately, across the continent of Africa. Financial literacy is an essential skill set for achieving success in the global economy. The motivation behind our efforts at the Equal Opportunity Trust is to empower Africans to achieve financial success. We aim to enhance financial literacy in Ghana so that individuals are not financially manipulated and can contribute to economic growth. Our Goals and Impact

Currently, The Equal Opportunity Trust is providing financial education to 453 students and counting across 4 schools in the Kumasi area. We are striving to hit 1,000 students by 2027. Join us as we transform education in Ghana.

Our Story

The Equal Opportunity Trust was established in 2024 in response to the financial literacy crisis in Ghana. Driven by a passion for finance, Eric recognized the importance of providing quality financial education to ensure that Ghanaian children have the opportunity to learn about financial literacy and economics.

Our 17 Year Old Founder

My name is Eric Boateng. I am 17 years old, and I founded the Equal Opportunity Trust in my home country to address the financial literacy crisis that I discovered was so severe. My humanitarian trip to Kenya and gaining firsthand experience in African schools motivated me to promote quality financial education, no matter how ambitious it seemed. Through this initiative, I aim to enhance financial education in Ghana and beyond. Learn more about me!
